Sjarlene with a ‘J’

Having lived in Pretoria, South Africa, for the past 30 years, Colin (my husband), Domino (our three-legged fur child) and I relocated to the Western Cape, at the end of 2021.

Cape Crawl is all about that journey. It is a lighthearted journal of our move, the very tiny village where we are waiting for our repurposing project to take shape. I write a weekly post.

I write about the people and events in my life. If you recognize yourself in my writings, it is because you have made an imprint on my life. If you recognize an event in my writings, I am so glad we could share the experience. If what I recall should either flatter or offend, …you will know what to do with it.

Reflections is a slightly more spiritual reflection, as I sense from time to time. It is a bit more serious, and as it takes shape in moments of introspection, I can’t promise a weekly post. These will come as I receive them. Reflection brings peace to us and makes us humble.

The Bears are little stories that I created for the entertainment of my own children. They have yet to move into their Blog space. Getting them to pack up from their current home is taking a bit longer than anticipated. Every time they sit down to sort out and pack their toys, they discover all their old toys and then they start playing…

I do the writing.

Colin is responsible for all the digital artwork, photos, and illustrations.

Those that read, comment, and make contact are my inspiration.
